Time: 01/30/2017 - 01/31/2017

Description: The course reviewed inputs, processes, outputs, outcomes and impact of a program in relation to simple, complicated and complex environments in which programs are occurring. Logical Framework and Change Theory models were used to line up these elements in different program environments. Key focus of the course was dedicated to selection and use of data to manage environment complexities and to balance data and methods. Particularly, qualitative, quantitative and mixed method approaches were reviewed in this context. Furthermore, business models such as Six-sigma, Balanced Scorecard, as well as knowledge management and benchmarking strategies were discussed in terms of how they can inform improvement strategies.
